The Worm

Bless Tanner's little heart. He is such an army crawler. He crawls his pants right off... literally. Lately he has been bringing his knees up and then pushing them out at the same time, like a worm. He has been doing the army crawl for months and is so good at "his crawl" that I don't think he has any motivation to crawl like a "real" baby. Will he ever? Anyway, sorry I can't catch him doing his crawl with the camera, he is all over the place!!

This is something new of Tanner's many stunts as well. He is squinting all the time. If he thinks something is funny, he squints and snorts. If we pull out the camera, he squints. The camera doesn't do it justice. It's hilarious!

Halloween

My little Harry Potter freaked out at even the thought of putting his glasses on. We even tried to show him, "Look, Daddy's wearing them, it's okay", but he still wouldn't even let us get near his face with them. (It's okay though because at least I got this out of it!)
I had to work Halloween, so I decided to dress up for the little kiddies. I think Tanner could not figure me out!

Tanner hung out with his dad and cousins for Halloween. I am sad I could not be there, though A)I enjoyed the festivities the week before with my family and B)Tanner is young enough to not remember anyway. I think he was a rather dapper Harry Potter. It was kind of a last minute thing. I could not find any costumes that I liked that would fit him, so I made this one in like an hour... it works I guess :)

Harvey

"Pumpkin Head Harvey, Pumpkin Head Harvey..." if anyone knows Ty, they've either heard him sing the song, or he makes you look it up on the internet... so he decided to be it for Halloween!!

Don't worry, Tanner approves of the pumpkin choice. Sadly, the pumpkin is bigger and weighs more than Tanner I think. So Ty and I are always finishing last at our annual pumpkin carving contest, so we bought a battery powered carver this year! I totally recommend it! It is quick and does curves really nicely, though it starts dying a little... but we were basically finished by that point.
Can you guess which one is ours? That's right, we did Bugsy!! (That is what my siblings lovingly call Tanner. Yes you are correct, that is the hamster's name on Bedtime Stories. It's because Tanner's eyes are big...especially as a baby...though "they'd be big for a cow" :)

Teeth?

Saturday September 26th when we were in Sand Hollow, Tanner kept going for the sand. I don't know, maybe it tasted good, it is red after all. Anyway, one of the times when he was able to sneak some, I immediately cleaned off his hands and stuck my finger in his mouth in an attempt to get some of it out of his mouth. Suddenly I felt something sharp. Initially I thought, "man, that's some pokey sand", then I took a look in his mouth... He had a tooth! About a day later the one next to it poked it's way through. It may be kind of hard to see in the photo, but they're there. I think he looks so cute with them. As I was trying to catch a picture of his teeth, I got multiple pictures of him trying to eat the camera, and of him drooling (new teeth will do that to ya!!)

Weeee're back!

We're still alive!! We were in the process of getting a new computer. Our previous computer had run out of room... plus it was old and slow, so I was not able to post. Here is a quick update on us... This is Tanner during his first time swimming. He absolutely loved it (not that I was surprised because Ty always has him go "swimming" in the tub after his baths). Then the next couple pics are of the 4th of July. We went to my mom's house, had a BBQ, did sparklers, and went to see the fireworks. It was a lot of fun. Then a couple weeks ago we went to Sand Hollow with our cousins. It was such a nice break, especially since I have started a new job (full-time nonetheless). We are lucky to have such generous cousins. For those of you that saw the welt on my arm, that is "the molecule"(a couple pics down) that caused the injury... I know it looks harmless, but it's wicked! Kurt rode with Ty and I to St George. It was so nice being able to spend that time with him before he left for the MTC. I will post more on that and other updates next time!

Merry Ferry Christmas!

Ty's uncle works for Browning, so for Christmas he arranged for us to go shooting at their range. Yes I am aware that it is July, but that is how long it takes to coordinate our schedules, pathetic I know. We will just pretend that it was for "Christmas in July". Anyway, the boys love it, and it cures Ty's itchy trigger finger for a little while. Though I mostly sat with Tanner and kept his ear muffs on, I also got to shoot a little bit. Do not be fooled by my appearance, I am actually a decent shot (I just have to remember to close the correct eye!... another story for another time)

Believe it or not, he actually fell asleep like this, cheek squeezing, watery eyes, sneezing and all. (I think he's got allergies. I don't care what docs say... what else would have those symptoms under these condition,s every time?)

There is something about a guy with guns... am I right? Anyway, thanks to the Ferry's for the Christmas present. Ty's shot is becoming a little rusty so we'll have to do it again soon!!

Food?

Rice cereal anyone? Has anyone ever tasted the stuff? It's disgusting, I don't know how babies eat it... but Tanner sure loves it! For his first try, he was so funny. At first he didn't know what to do or think. It was hard for him to coordinate his tongue and his swallow, but once he got the hang of it, he loved it. He actually cried when we stopped. Don't worry, bath time shortly follows!
